Hello! I’m Dave McMahon. I’m a Chicanx, Queer Photographer based out of San Francisco specializing in portraits of LGBTQ artists, activists & leaders in the global queer community.

My portraits capture a diverse spectrum of cultural identities & gender expressions in hopes to portray the diverse reality of beauty in the queer community and beyond.

Inspired by magic realism, my work depicts real life situations, people and emotions through a saturated and emotional lens.

Every reality is not without a level of cerebral interpretation from the viewer. This is how humans have always created relationships to information both internally and externally.
